🌴 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Retreat — Villa + Casita 2 at Añoranza
WELCOME TO AÑORANZA — where you stop longing and start living.
If you’re dreaming of a true Caribbean escape—quiet, authentic, and completely unplugged—you’ve found it. Tucked away on the east side of Roatán, Añoranza is far from crowds and cruise ships, and all about slowing down and soaking it all in.
This 3-bedroom option (Villa + Casita 2) gives you the perfect balance of shared space and private retreat—ideal for families, couples traveling together, or friends who want a little extra room.
🌊 The 2-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 4)
The heart of Añoranza, designed to maximize those unreal Caribbean views:
Upstairs, both suites feature private balconies, spa-like bathrooms, and sweeping views of the reef and Punta Gorda in the distance.
🌴 Casita 2 (Sleeps 2)
Just steps from the villa, Casita 2 offers your own private hideaway:
Perfect for guests who want a little extra privacy… or dibs on their own pool 😄
Every space—yes, even the showers—was designed to showcase the Caribbean and the stunning Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
Take the scenic stairway down through the trees (with a few perfect “pause and take it in” spots) to:
This is the quiet, authentic east side of Roatán—not Cabo San Lucas or Tulum.
👉 No nightlife
👉 No walkable restaurants
👉 100% island time
You can kayak or take a short drive to Punta Gorda or Oakridge for local food—or just stay in and let Dalia cook.
Dress code? Swimsuits, cover-ups, and flip flops. That’s it.
Matt and Dalia are here to make your stay effortless:
Dalia lives on property, so help is always nearby—while your privacy is always respected.
There are quite a few steps on the property—worth it for the views, but important for guests with mobility concerns.
Unplug. Spread out. Stay a little longer than planned.
The Reef Awaits. 🌊☀️🍹

Once you touch down at the Roatán airport, it’s a ~40-minute, scenic drive from the international airport along the main road that runs the ridge of the island and boasts amazing views of both the south and north shores. All you have to do is use Google Maps on your phone and put in Añoranza Roatán. We strongly recommend renting a SUV. Our host, Matt, can help you book the SUV and we also have a 10% discount code with Avis. He can also help arrange transportation from the airport to Añoranza.
20 minutes into your drive east, you will go through French Harbor, one of the oldest communities in Roatán and a commercial hub of the island. The Black Pearl, an 18-hole Pete Dye designed golf course is located in French Harbor at Pristine Bay Resort. Little French Key, a guest favorite, is a 5-minute boat ride from French Harbor. Also, the hospital, Cemesa, which takes U.S. insurance is located here as well as Eldon's Supermarket and Ace Hardware. We recommend stopping here for groceries and any other supplies you may need before continuing east to Añoranza. Both Eldon's and Ace Hardware take credit cards. There is a smaller grocery store about 5 minutes away from Añoranza but they only take cash and have a very limited supply compared to Eldon's which is similar to an American grocery store.
Añoranza is just east of the Garifuna town of Punta Gorda filled with rich traditions and amazing Garifuna cuisine. Right before you get to Punta Gorda there will be Diamond Rock Road, on your right with signs to Camp Bay Lodge, Paya Bay Resort, Marble Hill Farms, and Diamond Hill and Beach Resort. Take it for about a mile until you see the sign for Punta Blanca. If you see the sign for Marble Hill Farms on your left, you went too far. Once you are in Punta Blanca, continue on Punta Blanca Road until you come to a fork in the road with a sign that reads “Añoranza” and an arrow pointing right. It is a loop and one way so take it to the right and it will loop you around to Añoranza. Please let Matt know when you are getting close to Añoranza
