Finished in May 2021, Casita 1 is where laid-back Caribbean living meets just the right amount of comfort. Designed for privacy, relaxation, and unforgettable views, this oceanfront retreat is perfect for couples—or can be paired with our Villa and/or Casita 2 and 3 if your group needs more space.
If you’re looking for a true island experience, you’re in the right place. If you’re looking for beach clubs and nightlife like Cabo San Lucas or Tulum… this isn’t that. Here, it’s flip flops, swimsuits, and slowing all the way down.

Casita 1 sits just steps from the Villa and offers an open, airy layout with everything you need to settle into island time:
- King bed + living area + full kitchen
- Gas range, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, blender, and all essentials
- Clean, filtered water throughout (UV system + reverse osmosis at the sink)
The living room features a custom couch (perfect for lounging or an extra nap spot), Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, plus a Sonos speaker for your island playlist (Spotify works best here).

🌴 Getting to Añoranza (aka the start of your vacation before you even arrive)
Once you land in Roatán, the adventure begins. It’s about a 40-minute scenic drive along the ridge of the island. Translation: ocean views on both sides, a few “wow” moments, and your stress slowly disappearing with every mile.
👉 Pro tip: just plug “Añoranza Roatán” into Google Maps and follow the views.
We highly recommend renting an SUV so you can explore like a local. Even better, Dalia can help arrange everything before you arrive, from rentals to airport pickup so you can go full vacation mode from the moment you land.
🛒 The Most Important Stop You’ll Make (Trust Us)
About 20 minutes into your drive, you’ll pass through French Harbor—your last “big stop” before full island mode kicks in.
This is where you’ll find:
- Eldon’s Supermarket (your go-to for groceries, snacks, and drinks 🍹)
- Ace Hardware (just in case you packed everything except that one thing)
- Great lunch spots if you’re already hungry (which… you probably will be)
👉 We strongly recommend stopping here—future you will be very happy you did.
🌊 Almost There…
Just before you get there, look for Diamond Rock Road on your right (there are signs, but keep an eye out—it’s island driving 😄).
Take that road about a mile until you see the sign for Punta Blanca.
- If you pass Marble Hill Farms, you’ve officially gone too far (it happens, no judgment).
Once in Punta Blanca:
- Follow the road until you see the Añoranza sign →
- Take the right (it’s a loop), and it will bring you straight to us
🍹 Final Step
When you’re about 10 minutes away, let Dalia know you’re close and get ready to arrive, grab a drink, and officially switch to island time.
The hardest part of your trip? The drive is over. 🌊☀️

Awesome getaway!
We had an awesome stay at Añoranza! We booked this place for our 1 year anniversary and everything exceeded our expectations! Everything was very clean, we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from the pool. Dalia was very helpful and attentive. She cooked a delicious dinner for us. I would recommend this place and chef Dalia to anyone! Don’t think twice just book it!!

Relaxing Getaway!
First time in Roatan and this was the way to experience it! Had the best time hanging out on the deck and using the kayaks to explore near by. Dalia brought us out on the best excursion and made us the best meals! Still thinking about her ceviche! From swimming with sharks to laying on the beach - Anoranza was the place to stay and do it all! Can't wait to go back!

An Amazing Getaway!
Have you ever been to one of those places where it seems like everything just feels..aligned. My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend her birthday in this lovely home. The beautiful scenery, along with the thoughtful care of Robert, our concierge extraordinaire, left us washed with gratitude and much needed rest. I cannot wait to visit again!
Beautiful place!
Beautiful place to stay. Secluded but not too far away from town and beaches. The house had everything we needed and more! It was secluded and private. We loved the plunge pool and balcony for sunsets and the kitchen was great for making our dinners each night! Robert was helpful answering any questions that we had plus recommendations and Dalia made us a beautiful breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would definitely stay again and would love to bring our family back and book the bigger house!
40th Bday in Paradise
We can't say enough good things about our stay at the Añoranza casita! We were looking for a private paradise to celebrate my 40th birthday and we found it. Robert was amazing and helped us have a rental car when we arrived on the island. He is super friendly, knowledge and helpful. Robert also helped us arrange meals with Dalia who prepares the best meals we had on the island. Seriously, we went to the west end after our stay at Añoranza and never found anything that compared to her cooking!! The owner, Sean, was also super helpful in providing info and suggestions for fun outings and places to visit. We're already looking at returning next year!!! Tori and Scott
